What do we do?

My4walls helps make home ownership in West and South Yorkshire affordable through the HomeBuy schemes and gets people onto the first rungs of the property ladder.

How do we do it?

We give information on and provide an online application form for four different schemes for affordable home ownership:

New Build HomeBuy – where you buy part of a new property and rent the rest from a registered social landlord
Social HomeBuy – certain existing social tenants can buy part or all of their home through their landlord.
Open Market HomeBuy – where you part-buy a property and get an equity loan for the remaining share.
First Time Buyers Initative (FTBi) - where you buy a percentage of a property on a designated private developer site and receive a loan from English Partnerships for the remaining share
Discounted For Sale - where the property is discounted from the open market value from 25 - 50%

Who are we?

We are the Government’s HomeBuy agent for West and South Yorkshire and are a one-stop shop for information and applications for low cost home ownership schemes across the area.

Our work is on behalf of the Housing Corporation and we are part of Yorkshire Housing Group, the largest provider of social housing in the county.
